He holds a Master's of Business Administration degree focusing on healthcare management and administration. He has authored over 100 scientific publications and has received numerous grants and awards, including the highly selective Ruth L. Kirchstein National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health. In his varied leadership positions throughout his career, Dr. Blom has overseen large groups of physicians (up to 300) across various aspects of their practices. Dr. Blom has taught medical students, residents, and fellows and has presented his research around the world. Dr. Blom greatly enjoys overseeing clinicians, helping them to maximize their potential and achieve their goals. Dr. Blom is married with three children. He enjoys listening to opera and symphony, reading historical novels, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
