Scarring & Stretch Marks

A scar is skin that healed in a hurry. With the right plan — and a little patience — texture smooths, edges soften, and marks fade into skin that looks like the rest of you.

Understanding It

Why scars form — and why they can change.

When skin is injured — by a breakout, a procedure, or rapid stretching — the body prioritizes speed over craftsmanship. It patches the area with collagen laid down quickly and roughly, which is why scars sit differently than the skin around them: pitted or raised, tight or shiny, lighter or darker. Acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks are all versions of the same story.

The encouraging part: scar tissue is living tissue, and it remodels. Treatments that trigger fresh, organized collagen — microneedling chief among them — teach the area to rebuild properly, pass by pass. Older scars take more sessions than newer ones, but age alone doesn't make a scar permanent. We map yours, set honest expectations, and build the series around them.

How We Treat It

Rebuild, resurface, and fade.

Most scar work is a series, not a single visit — your provider will sequence these for your skin. Members save up to 15% on most services.

The Rejuvia Difference

Honest timelines, mapped in advance.

Scar work rewards patience, and we'll never pretend otherwise. At your consult we photograph and map the area, tell you what a realistic series looks like — usually four to six sessions for established scarring — and check progress against those photos as we go. If acne is still active, we treat that first with our Face Reality program, so new scars stop forming while we fade the old ones.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Can old scars still improve?
Yes. Scar tissue keeps remodeling for life, which means it stays treatable — older, established scars simply ask for more sessions than fresh ones. We'll give you a realistic count at your consult rather than a one-size answer.
How many sessions will I need?
Acne scarring and stretch marks usually respond best to four to six microneedling sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, often layered with peels or PicoToning for the discoloration. You'll typically see the first change after two or three sessions.
Do stretch marks actually respond?
They do — especially newer marks that still carry pink or red color. Microneedling rebuilds structure over a series, and the color component fades further with laser support. Mature silvery marks improve too; they just move more slowly.
I still get breakouts. Should I wait?
Treat the acne first — otherwise new scars form while we fade old ones. Our Face Reality acne program gets breakouts under control, and we begin scar remodeling as your skin clears. Many clients run the handoff seamlessly with the same esthetician.
