Every cell in your body runs on oxygen, yet most of it travels one narrow road: bound to red blood cells. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) opens a second lane. Inside our chamber, you breathe concentrated oxygen in a gently pressurized environment, allowing it to dissolve directly into your plasma and saturate cells, tissues and organs far more effectively than normal atmospheric breathing.
What HBOT is.
Rejuvia’s hard-shell chamber pressurizes to 1.5 atmospheres (ATA) — roughly 50% above normal air pressure — a level designed for a safe, wellness-focused experience. The therapy itself has serious credentials: it emerged in the early 20th century in hospitals treating decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning and chronic wounds. Its modern life extends into wellness, aesthetics and athletic performance, where its recovery and anti-inflammatory properties are put to broader use.
The science underneath.
- Enhanced circulation — oxygen-enriched blood reaches previously under-perfused tissue
- Cellular repair — increased oxygen stimulates fibroblasts and stem cells for tissue regeneration
- Collagen and elastin synthesis — supporting skin firmness and elasticity
- Reduced inflammation — helping regulate immune responses
- Improved mitochondrial function — boosting cellular energy production
- Angiogenesis — encouraging new capillary growth for sustained tissue oxygenation
These mechanisms are why HBOT is widely used in both medical and wellness settings — from wound healing to beauty, brain health and athletic performance.
What it may do for you.
Skin and aesthetics. HBOT can accelerate healing after microneedling, laser, peels or injections, promote collagen and elastin production, reduce redness and swelling, and enhance clarity and glow — which is why it pairs so naturally with treatments here.
Recovery and regeneration. It may speed healing from injuries and surgery, reduce soreness, bruising and post-exercise fatigue, and improve circulation to damaged tissue — a favorite among athletes.
Mind and mood. Increased cerebral oxygen flow supports mental sharpness, relaxation and emotional balance, and many clients report less brain fog and stress-related exhaustion.
Whole-body wellness. Immune support, detoxification and cellular repair, better sleep quality and hydration, and help with inflammation and chronic stress.
The Rejuvia experience.
If the word “chamber” makes you think of a cramped tube, ours will be a pleasant surprise: a spacious, transparent hard-shell design with comfortable seating, continuous airflow, temperature control and full communication with our staff throughout. Sessions run 60 minutes (standard) or 30 minutes (express), and you’re free to rest, meditate, listen to calming music or simply nap.
What a session feels like.
As the chamber pressurizes to 1.5 ATA you may notice light ear-popping, comparable to an airplane cabin — it resolves quickly. Most clients step out feeling refreshed, clear-headed and energized. For frequency, single sessions work well for relaxation, while 2–3 sessions weekly are typical for enhanced healing and skin health goals.
Safety, honestly stated.
HBOT is non-invasive, painless and low-risk for most clients, with medical-grade pressure and oxygen control monitored by our staff. Mild side effects are rare — occasionally temporary ear pressure or mild fatigue as the body acclimates. It is not appropriate for everyone. Contraindications include untreated pneumothorax, COPD with air trapping, emphysema or lung blebs, recent ear or sinus surgery or chronic ear infections, uncontrolled high fever or active seizure disorders, concurrent chemotherapy with doxorubicin, bleomycin or cisplatin, an active cold or upper respiratory infection, and severe claustrophobia. If you’re pregnant, recently post-surgical, managing a chronic respiratory condition or taking insulin or glucose-lowering medication, talk with a healthcare provider first — HBOT may temporarily affect blood sugar levels.
Better together.
HBOT plays generously with the rest of our menu. It complements facials, IV therapy, microneedling, peels and injectables — amplifying results and expediting healing — which is why many clients schedule a session in the days around an aesthetic treatment.
